EnergyRates.ca Scholarship: Presented to the student who submits the best essay on the future of the energy industry.

Requirements: Write a 500-word (maximum) essay. You can talk about anything you want — green energy, oil politics, the continued use of nuclear power, your personal ideas and innovations — so long as it’s about energy in the world of tomorrow.
Deadline Date: Jan. 31, 2019
Value: $500

Paul G. Complin Memorial Scholarship: Awards for students at Ontario post-secondary institutions who are pursuing programs related to engineering or the sciences with an interest in the environment and sustainability.

Requirements: Submit the application form found in the link below and attach cover letter/essay and supporting documents requested on the application form. Cover letter/essay should cover why you chose your field of study and its relationship to the environment and your future endeavors upon completion of your studies.
Deadline Date: Jan. 31, 2019
Value: $2,500 (Three scholarships available)

Kevin Collins Abilities Scholarship: presented to a post-secondary student with a disability.

Requirements: Submit a completed application form, along with a 1-2 page letter and/or a 1-2 minute video link describing why they should be considered for the Kevin Collins Abilities Scholarship.
Deadline Date: March 29, 2019
Value: $3,000

Western Environmental Liner STEM Scholarship: A scholarship to encourage more students to pursue degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

Requirements: Write a 500 – 1,000-word essay on why you chose to pursue a STEM degree.
Deadline Date: April 30, 2019
Value: $1,000

BeMo & SortSmart Diversity Advocacy Scholarship: An award to help pre-medical and medical students with medical school application and tuition costs.

Requirements: Complete a survey about your academic experience and a 15-question online screening test.
Deadline Date: May 31, 2019
Value: $1,000

Indigenous Student Bursary: Applications for the 2018-19 Indigenous Student Bursary are now available. If you wish to apply for this bursary, you can find the application and more information in your Mosaic Student Centre under “Apply for Financial Aid.” Extended deadline: Feb. 1, 2019. 


Scholarship applications are OPEN: Don’t miss out on this easy money! There are awards for all faculties and programs, all undergrad years and both academic AND community work. Apply in Mosaic by clicking the “Apply for Aid and Awards” tile. Find scholarships under the “Aid By Application” tab. More info on scholarships.  


OSAP Income Update: Check your OSAP portal for a requirement to update your income. If you have this requirement it must be completed to maintain eligibility for the McMaster General Bursary. Even if you have no changes to report, you are required to submit the online form. Find Income Update deadlines.
